Alex Brown

Alex is a Principal and Financial Advisor with CAPTRUST in Sacramento, an independent wealth management firm with more than $500 billion under advisement. Previous to CAPTRUST, Alex was President and CEO of Genovese Burford Brothers, a Sacramento-based wealth management firm. He spent the first years of his career as a Business Consultant with Arthur Andersen after which he became a Senior Financial Analyst with Hewlett Packard. Before joining Genovese Burford Brothers, Alex was the Chief Financial Officer of a privately held Sacramento company.

Alex is both a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Public Accountant and is currently a Registered Representative with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Before being JBMF’s Board Chair, Alex served as Board Treasurer. He is also on the board of directors of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce and was previously on the board of the Sacramento Chapter of CalCPA.
