A community leader and native Sacramentan, James brings strong values alignment with the JBMF board and leadership team. As a Senior Fellow with Class VI of the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program (NELP) to a successful finance career spanning decades at Intel to volunteer board leadership roles at Fairytale Town, Sacramento Theater Company, and a member of the City of Sacramento’s Planning Commission, James’ care and concern for the region’s diverse communities is genuinely felt in his generosity of time and expertise.
A versatile finance executive and entrepreneurial strategic advisor, James’ experience building systems and businesses, guiding executive decision-making, and stewarding resources through periods of transition will be especially valuable as JBMF advances its spend-down-to-sunrise strategy and plans for long-term impact beyond the Foundation’s sunset. As JBMF continues its commitment to a multiracial democracy in California’s Central Valley, James’s leadership and perspective will help guide the Foundation’s work in the years ahead.
