Sacramento, CA — This movement calls for reflection and for truth. Rooted in California’s Central Valley, its history is shaped by the women who have always held movements together, including Dolores Huerta, Ana Murguia, Debra Rojas, and countless others whose names we may not know, but whose impact spans generations.

The farmworker movement has always been a collective action, built by workers, families, organizers, and leaders fighting for dignity, fairness, and justice.  It’s never too late to shine the light on the women whose leadership, labor, and vision propelled the movement forward despite being pushed into the shadows. 

We will honor this history by telling it truthfully, standing with survivors, and uplifting the voices too often overlooked. This Women’s History Month, we recognize the women who continue to shape the path forward.
